ITW Binks is holding regular Spray Finishing Technology Workshops at their facility in Toledo Ohio. The workshops cover topics such as spray systems components, surface preparation, material preparation, operation of spray equipment and equipment troubleshooting/repair. Students have the opportunity for hands-on application of coatings with several types of spray equipment. They'll be having two more of these three day workshops in 2009. SpecTruLite at the SGCD show in Las Vegas
The Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators will be holding its annual exhibition in Las Vegas this year. We'll be exhibiting again at the SGCD show, which will take place at the Flamingo Hotel on March 29th and 30th.
I'll be there, and we'll be highlighting the SpecTrulite Organics line. I'll have many examples of our waterborne spray coatings, our room temperature printing inks, and our thermoplastic printing inks. I think this will be an exciting year in organic coatings for glass decoration, as the environmental pressures and concerns surrounding traditional ceramic decoration continue to mount. Organic coatings represent an environmentally friendly way to address these concerns while producing a high quality decorated product with superior appearance.

Welcome to Organic Coatings!
Hello everyone and welcome to the Organic Coatings blog! My name is Sean Weir and I work at Ferro Corporation in Washington PA, USA. I'm the Product Manager of Ferro's SpecTruLite Organic Coatings line.
I've started this blog to serve as a forum for sharing organic coatings information, industry news and trends. I'll also be sharing information about Ferro's products too, with applications, tips, tricks and other useful information about the product line. I'll also post on topics in general surrounding organic coatings and glass decoration.
